The Exer-Genie

Bart Starr was a 17th round draft choice of the Green Bay Packers in 1956.  His playing time was limited during this first few seasons, however the arrival of Vince Lombardi and use of the Exer-Genie changed his football career.


Combining isometric and isotonic exercises, the Exer-Genie was able to develop strength for Starr's full range of motion for his most important function - throwing a pass - for which he led the NFL three times, as well as leading the Packers to five NFL and two Super Bowl Championships, voted MVP in both games.

 International Swimming Hall of Fame and USA Olympic Coach Don Gambril, is one of the biggest endorsers of the Exer-Genie, citing this strength training device during his 17 years at Alabama and coaching many well-known Olympic Swimmers such as Mark Spitz, Gunnar Larsson (Sweden), Matt Biondi, and Mary Meagher. 

Don is one of the first swim coaches to see the value in building strength for the range of motion that swimmers use, which the Exer-Genie does perfectly - building strength while retaining flexibility for speed - and developed the station rotation system below to develop strength in the shortest amount of dry-land practice time:
